What is the petershagen.app?

This app enhances your experience of the region’s attractions. You can learn about the locations, test your knowledge in short educational games, or share content—such as photos from the photo booth—with your friends. You can also collect trading cards from all the places you visit. How does it work? It’s very simple—here’s how:

How does the app work?

In short: You visit all the attractions on the map, use each available feature at the location (read texts, listen to audio clips, take and share photos, play games, etc.), and thereby unlock these locations.

Settings

At the top of the screen, you’ll find a gear icon. This opens the settings dialog. Here you can set the language and font size.

Map and Postcards

On the overview map, you can see all the experience locations in the region marked on the map. You’ll also find the tours and experience locations displayed as cards at the bottom of the screen. You can swipe through them. When you select a card or a marker, you’ll be taken to the corresponding content. Tours are always displayed as a stack of cards. Once selected, all cards belonging to the chosen tour are displayed. If there is a “card icon” in the lower-left corner of the screen, you can tap it to return to the next higher level.

Experience Locations

Each experience location offers various features. You can access these by scrolling vertically or by tapping the “Next” button. After the home screen comes the table of contents. Here, you can also jump directly to the respective features. Some features have their own information pages and may require you to grant permission for camera, location, or document access. Data protection is very important to us. The permissions requested are therefore only necessary for local functionality on your device. Shared content is accessible only to you and your recipient.

The Card Deck

At the top of the screen, you’ll find a playing card icon. Clicking it takes you to your personal card overview. Here you can see which attractions you’ve already viewed, how far along you are at each attraction, and which places you should visit next.
